ABT-Evanston Advocacy Training w/ Rep. Lou Lang & Georgia Logothetis

Join us for a dual Advocacy training session with Illinois House Deputy Majority Leader Lou Lang (D-Skokie), and ABT founder and political veteran Georgia Logothetis.

Advocacy 101 training is a behind-the-scenes look at how to influence policy as an advocate. Learn about the difference between activism and advocacy, how legislation is really made, and how to take better action. Includes tips on getting letters to the editor published, social media advocacy, prepping for constituent meetings and town halls, and more. After Georgia's presentation, Rep. Lang will give us a primer on how the state legislative process in Springfield works.

Rep. Lang was first elected to the Illinois House of Representatives in 1987, and is one of the Legislature’s most outspoken and prolific members.

Georgia Logothetis has been working in politics and policy for nearly 13 years, from grassroots organizing to working and consulting on campaigns. She brings her extensive experience to this interactive training.
