ACTION: Comprehensive Investigation into Russia-Trump ties

In the wake of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn's resignation and the ongoing scandal involving reports that Trump representatives communicated with Russia during the 2016 campaign, ABT is launching a multi-prong action item regarding the Trump administration and the Trump campaign's ties to Russia.

1.  CALL THE LEADERS OF THE HOUSE AND SENATE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEES

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) is refusing to investigate the Trump campaign's ties to Russian operatives. Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence is more likely to investigate the matter, given that Republicans and Democrats on that committee have called for an investigation. We need to keep the pressure on.

Please call Chairman Nunes and demand an investigation:

(202) 225-4121 - Majority Staff Committee line
(202) 225-2523 - Rep. Nunes office line in DC

Call the Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee Senator Richard Burr as well:

(202) 224-1700 - Committee line
(202) 224-3154 - Senator Burr's office line in DC

SCRIPT FOR BOTH CALLS:  Hello, my name is X. I am deeply concerned about the new revelations regarding contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives. I urge Senator Burr / Represenative Nunes to initiate a thorough investigation into the matter. The American people deserve no less. Thank you.

2. CALL YOUR SENATORS AND ASK THAT THEY CO-SPONSOR S. 27

S. 27, introduced by Democratic Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), is "a bill to establish an independent commission to examine and report on the facts regarding the extent of Russian official and unofficial cyber operations and other attempts to interfere in the 2016 United States national election, and for other purposes."

In Illinois, please note that Senator Dick Durbin is already a co-sponsor so he does not need to be called.

Duckworth, Tammy (Democrat)

(202) 224-2854 (DC)
(312) 886 - 3506 (Chicago)

If you live outside of Illinois, where ABT is headquartered, look up your Senator's contact information here.
